ARMOUR INSTALLATION AFTERCARE
After the installation of ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film or an ARMOUR Windshield you must maintain your ARMOUR product(s) to keep your extended warranty active and in good standing. The optical quality and UV stability of your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or the ARMOUR Windshield is built into the chemical composition of all ARMOUR products.
The scratch and mar resistance of all ARMOUR Windshield Protection Films and/or your ARMOUR Windshield is excellent, however, constant vigilance is required to keep your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Films and/or your ARMOUR Windshield protected from scratching over the long term.
Every month you should re-apply a hand buffed carnauba wax to the entire exterior surface of your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield. You must Buff the wax into the entire exterior of your ARMOUR film in a circular pattern until complete clarity has been attained. Next, apply any graphene/ceramic coating (available on our website) onto the wax coated surface of your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield. Then, you should apply a “RainX for plastic” coating (through hand buffing) into your coated ARMOUR film. Buff the “RainX for plastic” coating into your ARMOUR film. Then, allow the coating to haze over. Then, buff-out the “RainX for plastic” coating until total clarity has been attained. Next, using any clean cloth, spray a generous amount of WD-40 onto your cloth. Then, rub the cloth (with the WD-40 on it) up and down across the surface edge of your wiper blades. Repeat this process 4 or 5 times will bring you the best results. This concludes your monthly maintenance to your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield.
It is recommended that this maintenance procedure be executed at least once a month, however, ARMOUR Films Group, llc only requires that your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield film be maintained in the aforementioned fashion once every quarter (every three months) to maintain your ARMOUR extended warranty.
ARMOUR offers three different extended warranty plans. The first ARMOUR extended warranty plan is our “Do-it-Yourself” Basic Plan. This plan requires you (the warranty holder) to apply the ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield protective coatings once every three months. The cost to maintain the ARMOUR “Do-It-Yourself” extended warranty is $4.95 per quarter (every three months). To demonstrate that you actually applied your ARMOUR Protective Coatings to your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield every quarter (every three months) is by taking a selfie of yourself either preparing to apply your ARMOUR protective Coatings, or, taking a video applying the ARMOUR Protective Coatings on your ARMOUR extended warranty vehicle. The second ARMOUR Extended Warranty Plan, the “Let-the-dealer-do-it” Deluxe Plan requires you to bring your vehicle into the dealer or installation shop where your ARMOUR product was installed. If you do not wish to perform any maintenance on your vehicle after your ARMOUR product is installed, then, this is the plan for you. Then, an ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film Installer will apply your ARMOUR quarterly protective coatings onto your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield. The cost for the ARMOUR Protective Films Coatings to be applied to you vehicles ARMOUR film is $149.00, quarterly, or every three months. The application of the ARMOUR Protection Coatings will be applied by one of the ARMOUR Coatings Installers. The ARMOUR dealer or installer will charge $99.00 to apply your ARMOUR Protective Coatings cost so that you may maintain your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield extended warranties active status and remain in good standing with ARMOUR Films Group, llc.
The third ARMOUR Extended Warranty Plan, “We’ll-come-to-you” Premium Plan requires you to schedule with an authorized ARMOUR protective coatings applicator dealer, quarterly, a time for our applicator to come to your home or office to apply the ARMOUR protective coatings so that you can maintain your ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield Extended Warranty as active and in good standing. The cost of this Premium Plan is $249.00 every quarter (every three months).
ARMOUR Windshield Protection Film and/or your ARMOUR Windshield should ONLY be hand washed. Running your ARMOUR treated windshield through automated machine “touch” car washes is not recommended. If it is absolutely necessary to run your ARMOUR treated windshield through an automated car wash, please utilize a “no-touch” automated car wash. Hand washing your vehicle that is treated with an ARMOUR treated windshield film is the preferred way to clean your ARMOUR film product.
